There is a product on the market called O'Keeffe's Working Hands. It's the most unusual lotion I've ever had the pleasure of using.
Ingredients: water, glycerin, stearic acid, ammonium stearate, ammonuim borate, dimethicone, ceteth-10, laureth-4, paraffin wax, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, allateoin octydodecyl stearate, diazolidinyl urea, iodopropynyl butycarbamate
Directions: apply to dry skin as needed throughout the day, particularly after washing hands and bathing. nighttime use is also recommended because skin temperature ruses during sleep, resulting in increased circulation and healing. apply sparingly. a little goes a long way. mild stinging of damaged skin is normal. discontinue use if irritation persists.
If you have dry skin that cracks and bleeds, this product is for you. Even you men that don't like using lotion, you'll probably like this.
For starters, there is no greasy feeling like some lotions made for us women. There is no scent, which my husband loves. Actually he likes both of the points I've just made. It's hard to make him use lotion even though he really needs it because of work. His hard crack and bleed every winter, and sometimes during the summer. Between the smell and feel once it's actually on, he just won't use any to help his hands. I never thought I'd find a lotion he would use, but he'll use this one.
I learned about this through one of the ladies that I've worked with in a school lunchroom. She uses it because of how bad her hands get. I went to the store she told me about and fell in love with this. I like using lotion but sometimes the scent will over ride the cologne I have on or the two will clash, so I quit using it to help my skin.
To give an example of how well this works, I have really rough spots on my elbows, I've been using this product on this area and it's slowly going away. It's nice not having elbows that don't snag some of my clothing.
Anyway, I hope you try it. I promise you'll like it.
My honest opinions an products I have actually tried in the hopes to help you find something that will work for you as well.

Do you like the fact that some stores add water to your hamburger meat?
I don't either, but I know for a fact that one company does. I was told by the meat department manager. I'll get into why he told me this in a sec.
I realize you don't know me, but I have a small case of OCD. Some things have to be just so or I really don't like it. For example, when I buy hamburger meat, I like knowing that every pack I place in the freezer weighs the same. So I weigh them before I place them there.
Here's what I do. I buy quart size freezer bags and weigh the meat out so that every meal has the same amount of meat when I cook it. For most I only weigh out a pound, for the rest, one and a half pounds. Don't believe me? Come check for yourself. It really is one of my many quarks.
Anyway, I always buy meat when it's on sale. Having to feed two teenage boys can be expensive. Those of you that are going through this, or have gone through this, know exactly what I'm talking about. So making every grocery dollar stretch as far as possible is mandatory.
I bought several packs from "The Low Price Place" and brought them home to portion out. Every pack was one to two ounces short. I realize that may not seem like a lot, but when you buy several at once, it adds up. I can't afford to pay for water that drains out of my meat so it won't go as far. I called the store to complain and was told that things would be fixed the next time I was there. The person I talked to on the phone wasn't there but the department manager was. He wasn't willing to honor the other person's word when I explained the situation to him. His excuse was that the weight difference was the water that had drained out into the pad they lay on bottom of the pack. Paying for extra water instead of the product I'm buying isn't my idea of a bargain. I feel like I'm being cheated.
Needless to say, I buy meat from another store and haven't had that trouble since.
I'll be truthful, I don't know if they have fixed the problem yet or not, but I don't trust them, so I'll continue to buy all my meat from somewhere else.

How to stop porcupine legs
As promised, I'm going to tell you about the emjoi AP-9L by epislim.
For starters, it's probably one of the smallest epilators on the market but it was the only one I could afford at the time. I'm sure there are some better on the market, but the prices can be excessive. Would I recommend it? Yes, but it is rather small. It works great for any facial areas due to it's size. I've used it several times to prevent both my boys from having the cursed uni brow.
Does it hurt to use it? Of course, you're pulling hair from the roots, but you will get used to it the more you use it and it will hurt less in most areas.
Description: Compact Epilator With A Narrow Strip Of 9 Tweezer Discs. Removes Hair From The Root From Delicate Areas Like The Upper Lip, Chin, Cheek, Bikini Line & Underarms. Suitable For The Most Sensitive Areas, Removing The Hair From The Root For Up To 6 Weeks. Portable & Battery Operated. Requires 2 Aa Batteries.
Care: Use: Do not submerge in water. Use cleaning brush. Rubbing alcohol on a squeezed dry Q-Tip can be used to clean discs. Requires 2 AA batteries.
Danger: BE SURE TO READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS Carefully AND COMPLETELY PRIOR TO USE. Not for use on the eyebrows or the hairline. Keep out of reach of small children. Recommended for ages Teens and above.
Now for my opinion. As noted above, it doesn't say anything about being water proof, but I have dropped it in a tub of water and it still works great. Of course, I got it out as soon as possible. Am I recommending using it under water? No. But it will take a short time under, just make sure to dry it good before you use it again. I also place the tip in either a small thing of alcohol or peroxide and let it sit for a few minutes. Sometimes I let it run so all the small places in there can be cleaned as well. I've never had any trouble with it.
Sometimes it will only shorten the hair instead of pulling it out so you have to be careful of ingrown hair forming just under the skin, so take special note of this.
I've used it under my arms, on my legs and on my boys brow right above the nose. Since it is so small, using this on my legs does take a while but since I only have to do this 3 to 4 times a month, I fell it's worth it.
I haven't kept track of how often I have to change batteries, but that really depends on how often it's used.
If you decide to do some more research on it, you'll find most reviews are 3.9 or greater out of 4. Decide for yourself what you want to do. If you would rather buy a larger one, make sure you check it out. Read how others feel about it. Make sure it will do exactly what you want.
I really don't regret using this product. I've actually come to enjoy not having to shave all the time. Maybe this post will help you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. I'll answer to the best of my ability and if I don't know, I'll tell you.
Have a great day and God bless.

Do you hate to shave?
Before I actually write about what I came here for, let me apologize for not doing this sooner. I could give you a lot of excuses, but excuses aren't what you're hear to read about.
The first product I want to tell you about is gigi Slow Grow hair retardant. As promised, this isn't an affiliate link. It leads to the amazon search for this product, so if you decide to buy, I'm not making anything off this. If you try, you might find it less expensive somewhere else. I buy mine at Sally's.
Directions: After showering, towel dry. Apply GiGi Slow Grow to epilated areas. Use daily to condition skin and minimize the appearance of new hair growth.
Ingredients: water, propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, ceteareth-20, oleth-10, PEG-8 distearate, stearic acid, papain, argania spinosa kernel oil, glyceryl stearate, triethanolamine, fragrance, benzyl sallcylate, coumarin, hydroxycitronellal, linalool, benzyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, propylparaben. (I can't promise I spelled everything correct since the writing is so small, but it should be right.)
Now, I don't know about you, I really don't like to shave. I knew there had to be a different way. Like you, I've seen those commercials for the item on TV that promises to keep hair from growing back in a little as 6 weeks. If you've checked into it as I have, you've seen reviews that says it doesn't work on coarse hair, which is what I have on my legs and under my arms when I don't shave. So I started using gigi, while I was still shaving. Within a few weeks, I could tell the difference. The hair was finer and most of it was lighter than ever.
Now I use an epilator to remove my hair and it's working great. I'll get into that product on my next post. I only have to use it 3 or 4 times a month, which beats having to shave every day or every other day.
Do I promise that this product will work for you as it did for me? No. I can't do that, body chemistry and all that. Is there a better product on the market? I have no idea. This is the only product I've used so far.
I hope you have a great day and enjoyed reading my post. I look forward to you coming back and reading more.

Rules of Conduct
Before I begin, I thought I'd tell you a little about myself.
For starters, I truthfully believe that honesty is the best policy and it is something I teach my children.
I'm a stay home mom and have 2 boys, 17 and almost 13 (I have to say that because it's important to him). I run a nonprofit that sends books and cards to children in the hospital, and before you think I make a fortune on that, I don't. There are no paid employees there. I've been married to the same man for over 28 years and have never regretted marrying him. Yes, he gets on my nerves sometimes, but after 28 years, it's only natural. I imagine I get on his nerves just as often.
What income I make, I make substituting for the local school system. It's not a lot, but I get to work when my children are in school and can be home when they are. This way, I don't miss any events they have for the activities they perform in school. I would brag on them now, but I believe that by the time I've written a few of my posts, you'll be tired of hearing about them. So I'll save it for later.
Now I realize you have no reason to trust me and trust can only be earned. But I'm hoping that after you read a few of my posts you will understand that I'm not trying to make you buy something you may not want in the first place. This site is to help save you money, not take it away from you. Nor is this an affiliate site. I don't make anything off the products I'm reviewing. I don't like trying to find an honest view point on a product only to find that it's an affiliate site. In my opinion, all they want is for someone to buy the product. Chances are, they have never even tried it.
If a product doesn't work as it's supposed to, I have no trouble saying that. I am not getting paid for my views, this is only about products I have actually tried and what I think about them. If a company sends me a product to try, you will know that's how I got it and you will have my honest thoughts about it. I won't lie about it to you.
On all reviews, I will have ingredients (please check for allergies), instructions and any fine print they don't tell you about in the commercials.
Before we get started, I felt this should have some rules that everyone will follow, including myself.
1. There will be no affiliate links allowed on here. Not from me or anyone else. All affiliate links will be removed.
2. No obscene language allowed! You are more than welcome to express your views on what I post, but you can do it without obscenity.
3. I make no promises about any of the products that I'm expressing my opinion on. All I'm doing is giving you my honest thoughts on if they work for me. Please keep that in mind. If you feel there is a better product, let me know. I'm always willing to learn something new.
4. If I think of any others that should be here, they will be added to this page then.
Thanks for coming and I hope you enjoy what I write.
Also, please feel free to be honest with me. I welcome feedback of any kind, so please be truthful with me. Don't worry about hurting my feelings, how do I expect to get better if you don't tell me what I'm doing wrong.
